All Antique and Vintage tools, which include wooden planes and saws,
will be “trued and tried” by Wood-Shop owner, Allan Fyfe and graded for
their usefulness and longevity. Plane irons will be sharpened on a
water-cooled, slow revving grinder and saws will be set and sharpened as
required. |

Hardly Used Heavy
Jointer
This jointer measures twenty two x three and a
quarter inches. It does not have a name but dates from the 1950s. It
is varnished, not oiled and has hardly been used. It is in excellent
condition. The two and a half inch wide blade is made by H.G. Long &
Co. |

Salmen Plough Plane
This plough plane was manufactured in Edmonton, London by Salmen.
It is fitted with a No. 1 1/8 blade. It is in good condition, has
hardly been used and has enjoyed lots of TLC! |

Smoothing Plane
This is a coffin shaped, 7 3/8" long smoothing plane. The blade is
by S Ashton, Sheffield (Mr J E Grumbly owned it at one time!). It is
in good condition. |

Edinburgh Toothing Plane This is a Mathieson of Edinburgh
toothing plane (1851 - 1854). This blade is by Moulson Brothers. It is
in good condition. Note: These are useful for smoothing awkward
hardwoods before final finishing, not just for preparing the wood
before veneering. |

| Spear & Jackson
“Spearior” Panel Saw
This is a
Spear & Jackson "Spearior" 10 TPI panel saw. It didn't need sharpening
but could do with setting next time it is sharpened. It probably dates
back to the 1950s. This is a really nice saw with most of its life
before it. |
